About our annual Adopt-A-Family holiday giving program:
The Women’s Resource Center (WRC) hosts our Adopt-A-Family (AAF) holiday giving program annually, between October and December. Our AAF program assists families who are victims of domestic violence during a very stressful time of year – the holidays.
Each year our generous donors help provide a brighter holiday
for over 100 children and their families!
Each family’s situation is unique and the needs of the victims and their children are often complex. Victims can suffer for years under the power and control of their abuser. The WRC supports survivors through empowerment, helping to remove barriers and restore independence. In 2020, our first AAF Gift Card campaign empowered individuals by providing them with the opportunity to thoughtfully choose and personally wrap gifts for their own families. This gift of choice is vitally important to those who have been isolated and powerless for so long.
